The studio is located in an historical train depot at 428 North Iowa Avenue in Washington, Iowa. Our photographic studio and frame gallery take full advantage of this 1903 depot. Situated on a full city block, the studio has developed the areas largest photographic garden complete with a pond, waterfall, barn, cabin, arbor, old stone wall and many others. Appointments are in a relaxed atmosphere with generous time allowed for each session. Jeff Batterson started the studio in 1987 after graduating from one of the nation's premier photographics colleges. Jeff has continued his study of imaging up to this day. Along the way, Jeff has received many awards in professional print competition, later to be a judge in these events. Jeff has served as a guest speaker for numerous professional photographic associations including the Professional Photographers of Iowa. For several years Jeff has served as a technical advisor with a select group of the nation's top photographers for McKenna Pro Imaging, a professional color lab network with laboratories in Waterloo, Iowa, Phoenix, Arizona and San Diego, California.
